Our Disclosure: Be Responsive

Willingness to report wrongdoing to and to cooperate with the Government accompanied by an acceptance of responsibility for our actions is vital to maintaining an effective ethics and compliance program; therefore, Humana Military is fully committed to complying with all mandatory disclosure requirements as outlined in FAR Part 52.203-13.

Company Hotline

We have established a company hotline on which associates can anonymously report suspected wrongdoing without fear of reprisal.  A hotline serves as an outlet for associates to alert management not only to fraud, but to general associate concerns as well.  The following are three separate hotlines to which Humana Military associates and any other interested parties have access:
  • Humana Inc. Ethics Helpline (1-877-5-THE KEY or 584-3539) is discussed in “Principles of Business Ethics”.
  • HMHS Fraud and Abuse Hotline (1-800-333-1620) is operated by the Humana Military Program Integrity Manager who ensures that each report of misconduct (theft, embezzlement, fraud or abuse of benefits) pertaining to the delivery of healthcare under the TRICARE Program is handled in a professional and timely manner as required by TRICARE Managed Care Support contracts.
  • Department of Defense Hotline Poster (1-800-424-9098) is utilized for reporting fraud, waste, and abuse and is posted in office locations frequented by Humana Military associates.

Our Enforcement: Be Resolute

Humana Military has a formal disciplinary process established and documented online as a part of policies and procedures that are applicable to all associates.
  • Disciplinary actions are necessary when associates violate company policies, standards of conduct, laws, and/or regulations.
    • Humana Military will consistently enforce standards through appropriate disciplinary mechanisms, including discipline of individuals responsible for failure to detect an offense, failure to report it, or retaliation against an individual for reporting violations.

  • Corrective actions will be case specific.
    • Appropriate forms of discipline will be designated based on the offense but may include coaching, counseling, or termination.
    • We will take all reasonable steps to respond appropriately to any offense and to prevent further similar offenses including any necessary modifications to our ethics and compliance program.
